Midnight Story

Rs. 18,500.00

Ninety hours. That's how long the Rabari hand embroidery on this shrug took to complete narrative white threadwork covering the side-torso panels, done by master women artisans who have spent their lives with a needle. The base fabric is dyed in traditional natural black botanical extracts; the embroidery is the story told on top of it. An open-front shrug with short sleeves, made to be worn open, layered, seen from a distance and examined up close. One of the rarest things we make.

Natural Dyed Handloom Fabric (natural black botanical dye)

90 hours of continuous Rabari tribal hand-embroidery by master artisans

WASH & PRODUCT CARE

Wash Care

Handspun, handloom, and naturally dyed garments are made to age beautifully, with the right care, they only get better over time. We recommend washing this garment separately to preserve its colour and craft.

  • Do not bleach
  • Do not rub harshly: handle with a gentle hand
  • Handwash in cold water
  • If machine washing, use a mesh bag on a gentle cycle, cold water, not more than 25 minutes, with a mild detergent
  • Shade dry: do not expose to direct sunlight as it may cause variation in colour
  • Iron or steam on low to medium heat
  • For embroidered and mirror work pieces, turn the garment inside out before washing

NOTE: Colour bleeding is normal in naturally dyed and indigo dyed garments during the initial washes, after which the colours stabilise. The gradual fading of natural dyes is not a flaw — it is the nature of the cloth, resulting in graceful, honest colour over time. Each wash is part of the garment's story.
