Indigo Checked Midi Dress with Saankdi Embroidery

Rs. 10,700.00

Size

Two fabrics, one loom-woven story: an indigo windowpane check for the body, khadi cotton through and through, paired with a solid indigo yoke worked in Saankdi embroidery — small teardrop motifs stitched in a row along the yoke's lower edge, traditional to the Rabari craft community. The yoke gathers into a full, checked skirt below, voluminous sleeves cuffed and ruffled at the wrist. Textured, relaxed, built for everyday wear.

  • 100% Khadi Cotton, indigo yarn-dyed
  • Windowpane check body with solid indigo yoke
  • Saankdi hand embroidery along yoke edge
  • Gathered waist with voluminous, ruffled sleeves

WASH & PRODUCT CARE

Wash Care

Handspun, handloom, and naturally dyed garments are made to age beautifully, with the right care, they only get better over time. We recommend washing this garment separately to preserve its colour and craft.

  • Do not bleach
  • Do not rub harshly: handle with a gentle hand
  • Handwash in cold water
  • If machine washing, use a mesh bag on a gentle cycle, cold water, not more than 25 minutes, with a mild detergent
  • Shade dry: do not expose to direct sunlight as it may cause variation in colour
  • Iron or steam on low to medium heat
  • For embroidered and mirror work pieces, turn the garment inside out before washing

NOTE: Colour bleeding is normal in naturally dyed and indigo dyed garments during the initial washes, after which the colours stabilise. The gradual fading of natural dyes is not a flaw — it is the nature of the cloth, resulting in graceful, honest colour over time. Each wash is part of the garment's story.
