A branching leaf motif spreads across the front in Katab embroidery - shapes cut from cloth and stitched down by Rabari women in Kutch, outlined in cream against a warm, naturally-dyed rust ground. Some leaves are left open, showing a fine running-stitch fill underneath; others sit solid, white-bordered and plain. Small mirror-like eyelets are scattered around the motif, catching light where the embroidery doesn't. What looks like a sleeve isn't one at all, the top is built from just two panels, front and back, cut wide enough at the shoulder to fall and drape like a sleeve without ever being sewn as one. A dotted running-stitch line traces the V-neck, the only straight line in a design built entirely on curves.

Wash Care
Handspun, handloom, and naturally dyed garments are made to age beautifully, with the right care, they only get better over time. We recommend washing this garment separately to preserve its colour and craft.
- Do not bleach
- Do not rub harshly: handle with a gentle hand
- Handwash in cold water
- If machine washing, use a mesh bag on a gentle cycle, cold water, not more than 25 minutes, with a mild detergent
- Shade dry: do not expose to direct sunlight as it may cause variation in colour
- Iron or steam on low to medium heat
- For embroidered and mirror work pieces, turn the garment inside out before washing
NOTE: Colour bleeding is normal in naturally dyed and indigo dyed garments during the initial washes, after which the colours stabilise. The gradual fading of natural dyes is not a flaw — it is the nature of the cloth, resulting in graceful, honest colour over time. Each wash is part of the garment's story.
